The box set is great and provides a good range of knives and sharpener/peeler. The knives are super sharp and cut very well, however, the 8" knife is not very durable with prolonged use, I've had three snap over four years and each time have had to pay a percentage to replace despite them being under lifetime garauntee. I've made the decision not to replace the latest and will be finding another knife to use for daily cooking.
MAGIC KNIFE 28 September 2027. Hi Ewen. We get less than 3% that fail, but it is strange with such a low failure rate that it tends to happen more than once to the same people. It may be that you are using the knife with too much downward pressure, as with conventional knives, rather than the pronounced to and fro action the knives are designed for. However, with the life-time guarantee you can take the knife along to most of any shows we are at for exchange on the spot at no cost regardless of age. If exchanging by post P&P charges do apply as explained when registering for the optional extended guarantee. Cheers, Phil & Lesley
This is tho 2nd set of knives that I’ve purchased as the 1st set were beginning to look worn and tired. They are my go to knives and they never fail Me. I ensure they are sharpened every week to keep them in perfect condition. The initial outlay is costly but long term they are value for money. If you are considering buying…..dont as you won’t regret it, also fantastic customer service.
Can't fault these knives or the Customer Service we have had. Knives slice and dice everything brilliantly, keep their edge and with the honing tool it is a simple 2 swipes and they are scalpel sharp again. If you are thinking about them stop, just buy them and enjoy super clean cuts
I was very impressed with the demonstration of the magic knives and bought a box set. I have loved every knife since I opened the box. It does what it says on the tin!!!! Every thing I cut, is precise and safe, as no extra pressure is needed to get through those more difficult or delicate products. Absolutely love them and have recommended them to all my friends.
The small knife unfortunately snapped in half after just 12 months but as there was a "lifetime guarantee" in place I confidently contacted the company for a replacement. Not that simple!!! I was advised the cost of the knife was ,£25 however there is one year usage which is (£25.00/10)*1 = £2.50 for the replacement 3” plus £5.00 postage and packaging, and £5.00 statutory age verification. So in effect it would cost me £12.50 . To me, that does not represent a lifetime guarantee. For the knife to snap so quickly (never placed in a dishwasher) I would suggest it was faulty and not fit for purpose. Buyers Beware....

If you wish to exchange by post you first register online for the optional guarantee where all the costs are clearly explained. We get less than 3% of knives that fail and while it may have been a factory fault, it could also be using the knife with too much downward pressure, rather than the pronounced to and fro action the knives are designed for, as is demonstrated when you try the knives at the show.
